🦇Bats were one of the first animals I ever worked with in the conservation world, so they have a really dear place in my heart!

🦇I’m donating 25% of profits from this pin to one of my FAVOURITE grassroots charities, Habitat Acquisition Trust!

🦇Habitat Acquisition Trust (HAT)’s Community Bat Program is an initiative to learn more about the bats of Southern Vancouver Island through education, citizen science monitoring, and species identification.

🦇This research intends to guide local conservation efforts, to enhance habitat through the placement of bat houses, and to help homeowners who choose to evict bat colonies to do so in a way that harms the bats as little as possible.
